The 11th annual fundraising tournament “Drive Against Cancer” saw 120 golfers tee-off on Sep. 24th on a cloudy morning at Delhi Golf Club, raising money for the Indian Cancer Society, Delhi chapter.
The overwhelming support of the Golf community, with each of the 120 places in the tournament carrying a minimum donation of Rs 10,000, comes at a time when NGOs such as Indian Cancer Society have been badly hit due to the pandemic.
Among those playing were 1983 Cricket World Cup hero Madan Lal besides senior Defence Officers, doctors, corporate CEO’s and leading industrialists of Delhi. The Delhi Golf Club’s iconic Peacock course wowed the participants again as many were playing here for the first time and was in fabulous playing condition despite heavy rains in Delhi.
