Pro Golf – European Tour

After the cancellation of the Hero Indian Open in 2020 and again in 2021 due to the Pandemic, the European Tour and Hero Motocorp staged the US$1.5 million Hero Open at The Fairmont St Andrews, a stone’s throw from the famous Old Course. Low scoring was the order of the day as local Scottish lad emerged winner by one stroke with a total of 23 under par after making birdies on the final two holes. As many as 17 Scottish players featured in the starting line up with 3 Scots in the top 5 going into the final round.

Due to the Pandemic and to localise travel, the European Tour featured 6 events all in the UK in 2020 and this year the Hero Open comes in the middle of a 3 event swing across Wales , Ireland and Scotland.

Hero has also supported the European Tour’s “Golf for Good” campaign by supporting the Hero European Golfers with Disabilities tournament played concurrently with the Hero Open at St. Andrews. 

 Golf for Good’ is the umbrella name for the European Tour’s overarching Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. It involves three main pillars:
